A throttling globe valve uses a linear motion to move a closure member into and out of a seating surface. They have a body distinguished by a globular-shaped cavity around the port region and are designed to regulate process flow when used in conjunction with an actuator assembly. Many single-seated valve bodies use a cage or retainer-style construction to retain the seat ring, provide valve plug guiding, and provide a means for establishing particular valve flow characteristics

- Bolted Bonnet with spiral-wound gasket.
- Rising Stem & Rising Hand Wheel Construction.
- Seat Ring Screwed into the body (Replaceable Type) or integral type.
- It is considered to be a self-cleaning valve as when the valve lifts from the seat fluid wash off all the accumulated things and the sealing surface is always clean from debris.
- Outside Screw and Yoke (OS&Y), Rising Stem, Integral Backseat, Integral Body Flanges(as oan ption), Two Piece Self-aligning Packing Gland.
- Good throttling and shut-off capabilities.
- Can be used as a stop-check valve in case the disc is not attached to the stem.
- Non-rotating rising stem design in globe valves (2” and above) yields a 20-30% reduction in valve torque vis-à -vis the Rotating rising stem globe valves.
- Flow Regulation: Globe valves are used to control the flow of fluids through pipelines, ensuring that the flow rate and pressure are maintained at optimal levels.
- Boiler Feedwater Control: Globe valves are commonly used in power plants to regulate the flow of water into boilers, ensuring that the temperature and pressure remain within safe limits.
- Process Control: Globe valves are used in chemical processing plants to control the flow of chemicals and other substances through various stages of the production process.
- Water Treatment:Â Globe valves are used in water treatment plants to control the flow of water through filters, pumps, and other equipment.
